Amsterdam - August 2006

 

 

The last Bank Holiday weekend before the long slog to Christmas provided a great opportunity for a quick City Break to Amsterdam. There’s plenty on offer in the Dutch capitol – Van Gogh and Rembrandt for the art lovers, the Heineken Brewery for the thirsty, the Anne Frank house for the history buff, the Red Light District, coffee shops, sex shops and shows for the ‘more adventurous’…

The Rembrandt House – Rembrandt lived and worked here for twenty years. 250 of his etchings are on display
