The castle was only built, in

The Crown Liquor Saloon on the Golden Mile
– built by Patrick Flanagan in 1885… and still serving a great pint of
Guinness… well, that is when the place is open… It was closed for some
minor repairs – I suppose after 122 years that would be ok. They probably
installed the latest web cam! Check it out!

The famous crown mosaic at the
front door – nationalist visitors would walk over, unionist patrons around.

As the Crown Bar was closed, we
dropped into Robinson’s Pub next door for a hard-earned pint!
|
|
Since we will be back in Belfast in late
March, we shall give the Crown Liquor Saloon another go. Also, a climb to
the top of Cave Hill and a visit to Stormont Castle
might be appropriate! Already looking forward to that!
