The end must be near! I really think that global warming is the least of our worries! Darwin figured it out a long time ago but society - through its governments - tried to turn it around, by making everything equal, fool proof, politically correct and took our need to think for ourselves away! The result? I walk amongst brain-washed (that would imply the existance of a brain though!) idiots! Can someone remember the day Customer Service existed? Back when they didn't have all the technology but took the initiative and provided a service? When one phone call or letter was enough to prompt corrective actions? DVLA and Royal Mail take note! These days one is forced to contact DVLA 3 times to get a passport returned (that the postie was too challenged - mentally or physically (I do live on the 3rd floor after all) to deliver and returned advising DVLA that I don't live here...). So, they sent me a letter to (you guessed it!) the same address asking to ring them to confirm my address... and this AFTER I had already spoken AND emailed this efficient government organisation! I know that is a bit of a stretch for most people out there these days, but surely, a phone call to my mobile or - dare I suggest - an email?! would have been more appropriate since I only twice confirmed that I live here and there was obviously still reasonable doubt that the address was wrong! Still, the lovely lady on the phone strugged to believe that I really live here... Well, I don't know anymore... the postie doesn't think so, DVLA definitely don't think so... who am I to question these great institutions? Maybe I have been wrong all along? Maybe I am missing something here? Maybe I am the weakest link? Maybe the Darwin's evolution has bypassed ME!
