Folks, take note! It's mid July and for the first time this year my commute today felt like a real summer ride! To class 15° degree temperature as summer weather proves that I have been in Scotland for too long!

The sun was out and so were all the Scottish anglers trying their luck along the canal! The rest of Scotland’s population was walking their dogs, making the ride an interesting but rather life-threatening (if you are a canine creature) obstacle course (my sincere apologies to the lady with the Labrador… and the dog!) – never mind the dodging of fishing hook o bait–casting anglers. Someone please tell them that embedding a fishing hook in a cyclist eye-socket isn’t what fishin's all about – and anyway, there’s NO fish in that canal (that’s safe to eat anyway)!

But most importantly - it didn't rain for the whole 54 km ride! I am rapt! That's a Scottish summer for you! So, stop bitching about the weather where you are (and global warming).
